LET 'S TALK ABOUT FAITH

A STATEMENT OF FACT:

My failure or lack of willingness to believe in something I do not see, does not render that object non-existent.

STATEMENTS OF PROOF:

(Fact #1) I don’t see or feel what’s between the remote control of my TV and the TV---Yet, that gadget turns the TV on and off.

(Fact #2) I don’t see, smell or feel what’s between my garage door opener and the garage door--- Yet, that gadget can open and close the door.

(Fact #3) I don’t see the electricity between any of the light switches and the bulbs in my house---Yet flipping the gadget (switch) turns the light on and off.

(Fact #4) I don’t see, feel or smell the oxygen in the air---Yet, I’ve used it every second of my life since birth. I also used it unknowingly some nine months in my mother’s womb.

(In Facts #1-3): Mankind continues to take advantage of our relatively, limited knowledge of scientific truths with frequent acts of faith by the use of the gadget. Although we pay for the gadget and the use of the energy involved, neither one of them is essential to our lives. Creatures of the skies and land do just fine without paying anyone. Their dependent existence on the Creator for all their needs pays homage to Him and stands as a living testimony to faith. In the bigger picture, are we ahead or behind these creatures? I can say for sure when it comes to money, they’re ahead of me. They don’t need it.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was
not made out of what was visible... And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 1:1-3,6)
